SLIDING
Single-sided piston sliding on bushings or pins, serving as a clamp.
Upon braking, the piston pushes the inboard brake pad.

REAR - MANUAL
Traditional parking brakes operate through a handbrake lever, transferring mechanical force to the caliper's handbrake function via cables, pressing the brake pads onto the discs to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
REAR - EPB
The EPB brake caliper includes an electric motor to engage the electronic parking brake, applying pressure to the pistons, brake pads, and discs, saving space and integrating the parking brake directly into the caliper.
